D.K. Shifflet & Associates Ltd. (DKS&A) and IPK
International (IPK) have entered into a cooperative sales agreement
to distribute their travel marketing research products on a worldwide
basis. IPK International, a leading, international consulting group specializing
in tourism for over 30 years, located in Luxembourg, Malta and Germany,
has been conducting the European Travel Monitor® (ETM)
since 1988. The ETM is the largest and the only tourism study to continuously
survey the outbound travel demand and behavior in all European countries.
Since 1995, the ETM has been extended to the World Travel Monitor®
(WTM), including international markets in Latin America, Arabia, Africa
and Asia. Since the study's inception, over five million people in more
than 50 countries have been surveyed on a representative basis. Principal
clients include national ministries and tourism boards, tour organizers,
international hotel concerns and other parties to the travel industry.
Another key strategic partner is Global
Insight; one of the top macro economic firms in the U.S. DKS&A
provides our PERFORMANCE data to Global Insight for economic
impact analysis. Global Insight has developed world-class tourism forecasting
and economic impact models. Global Insight, formed from the merger of
WEFA and DRI, has become a recognized leader worldwide in the field of
economic forecasting and consulting. Global Insight has measured travel
and tourism and has over 35 years of experience providing meaningful,
globally consistent market analysis. Global Insight's approach to travel
and tourism research marries consistent quantitative measures with careful
qualitative analysis in the context of economic reality. Most recently
DKS&A and Global Insight jointly developed City Economic Impact
(CTI), a new benchmarking report designed to measure the economic
impact of tourism at the city level for over a hundred major U.S. destinations.
